A custom hand-coded website with on-page SEO, mobile-responsive design, and an A+ Google PageSpeed score. Hosting, ongoing edits, and priority support are not included in the lump sum. Those would be billed separately if needed after launch.
Yes. Monthly plans require a 6-month minimum commitment. After that, you are month to month and can cancel anytime with 30 days notice.
If you cancel before the 6-month minimum, you are responsible for paying the remaining balance of the minimum term. We prioritize long-term relationships and ask that clients share the same commitment.
The website is built and maintained by Porchlight Web and remains under our management while you are on the plan. If you cancel, you do not keep the site. If you want full ownership from day one, the lump sum option is the right fit.
We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
No. There is no setup fee on either plan. The monthly plan starts at $150 a month and the lump sum starts at $2,500. What you see is what you pay.
If we cannot produce a design you are happy with before development begins, we will refund what you paid to get started. Once development is underway, refunds are handled on a case by case basis. We stand behind our work and want every client to be satisfied with the outcome.
Page builders like WordPress, Wix, and Squarespace come with a lot of baggage: slow load times, bloated code, plugin conflicts, and generic templates that make every site look the same. Hand-coded HTML and CSS produces a leaner, faster, more secure website that is easier to optimize for search engines. If you want a site that actually performs, it needs to be built right.
No, we do not use AI to generate our code. Every single line is written by hand, as AI outputs are often messy, inconsistent, and hard to maintain. While we do utilize AI as a supplementary tool for brainstorming and research, we build everything the old-fashioned way to ensure peak performance and accessibility.
The base plan covers up to 5 pages. Additional pages can be added for a one-time fee. We will go over exactly what pages your site needs during the consultation.
Yes. Every site is built mobile-first, meaning it is designed to look and function perfectly on any screen size, from a small phone to a large desktop monitor.
Yes, all our websites are optimized for search engines, including Google. We implement best practices for SEO to help your site rank higher in search results and attract more organic traffic. While we can't guarantee specific rankings, our hand-coded approach gives you a strong foundation for SEO success.
Google PageSpeed is a tool that scores how fast and efficiently your website loads, on a scale of 0 to 100. We work hard to ensure that your site achieves a high score. A high score means your site loads fast, which keeps visitors from bouncing and helps your rankings on Google.
Your site is built with plain HTML and CSS, hosted on a reliable server. There is no platform, no CMS login to learn, and no software to update on your end. If something needs to change, you message me and I handle it.
Most websites are completed within 2 to 4 weeks from the time the consultation is done and the content is gathered. Turnaround depends on how quickly we can get the information we need from you and how many rounds of revisions are needed on the mockup.
Primarily your content: your business name, logo, photos, services, contact information, and anything else you want on the site. If you do not have photos or a logo, we can talk through options during the consultation. The more organized your content is upfront, the faster we can move.
Yes. After the consultation, I create a custom mockup of your homepage design for you to review and request changes on. Once the design is finalized, I move into development.
On the monthly plan, unlimited edits are included. Just send a message and it gets handled. On the lump sum plan, edits after launch are billed at an additional cost.
Yes. All of our communication happens over phone, email, and video call, so working with businesses anywhere in the country is no problem at all.
You contact me directly. There is no support ticket system, no call center, and no being passed around to different people. Monthly plan clients have 24/7 access for emergencies or time-sensitive issues.
Monthly plan clients get priority response for anything urgent. Send a text or call and I will get to it as fast as possible.
